BDX Skin ("the App") analyzes your selfie to provide a personal color analysis and makeup shade recommendations. Privacy is a core design principle of the product.

Face Data (Selfies) — Apple Face Data Disclosure

• What we collect: The single selfie photo you take or select when you start an analysis.
• Why we use it: Solely for cosmetic color analysis (skin tone, undertone, eye/hair color and color season). We do not identify, recognize, or profile faces.
• Who it is shared with: The photo is transmitted over a secure connection to our AI provider (via OpenRouter to the underlying model provider) for analysis only. Zero-data-retention endpoints are preferred; your photo is not used to train models.
• Retention: The photo is held temporarily on our servers only for the duration of the analysis request and is permanently deleted as soon as the analysis completes (within minutes). Selfies are never stored permanently.

Other Data

• Device identifier: A randomly generated device ID lets us provide the service without requiring an account.
• Analysis results: Your color analysis results (color season, palettes) are stored linked to your device ID so you can view your history.
• Subscription status: We store your App Store purchase state (transaction ID and expiry). Payment details are processed exclusively by Apple.

What We Don't Collect

No name, email, phone number, or location. No ads and no third-party analytics SDKs. Your data is never sold.

Deleting Your Data

In the app, Settings → Delete My Data permanently removes your entire analysis history and device record from our servers.
